Elder Neil L. Andersen Mission Reunion

We went to Salt Lake this weekend for a special reason. First, 20 years ago Elder Anderson became a Mission President of the France Bordeaux Mission. My wonderful hubby was called to this mission. He tells me that Elder Anderson is truly a man called from Heavenly Father. His spirit has a special feeling. Not only did Brett have him as a Mission President, but because he was a member of the 70's he was able to seal Brett and I for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Brett has and I think will always look up to the special being. This was the first mission reunion that Brett has ever attended. He was a little reserved about going. I think the main reason for us to go was me pushing him. I felt that this could be a great experience for all of us, exspecially Ashlee. Our little girl will be baptized this month and for her to meet an apostle and to start feeling what the spirit is and to be in his present. Ashlee told me that she was excited and is really excited about getting baptized. I hope that one day she will really know what this time in her life really means. I sometime think back about all the things I've done and wish for a "do over" I really hope that we can teach her to follow the examples that we and other set. Like Elder Andersen said "This is life, and we have to deal with what comes our way, but if we look at a much larger picture. Our life with Heavenly Father is much greater then we can ever know." He talked a little about his new calling, and what a great blessing it is, that words couldn't even describe the feelings. We really wanted to find tickets for conference as well, but we were not able to get any. so we listen. We are truly a gospel of Heavenly Fathers. We are so very blessed to have these wise men to teach us, and to be our spiritual hero's. I know that Elder Andersen is Brett's and I have come to admire him as well. All in all I think Brett was really glad that we went. He got in contact with fellow Elders that he hasn't seen in years. Thank goodness for Facebook, he can now rebuild those friendships.
